Received January 20, 10 a.m. Melbourne, January 20, Mr Hobbs, the Commonwealth Statistician, refuting the allegations of the London Investors Review that Australasia’s prosperity depended only on a borrowing basis, claims that there has been no wild borrowing. Prosperity was solid and there was nothing to show that Australia was not meeting her obligations honourably or to create a fear that she would be unable to do so in future.
