Wellington, January 18. At Trentham this morning Sir Frisco fjj and Artillerie somewhat easily covered a mile in Imin 50sec. Iranui did the same distance in Imin 45>£sec. Ikon took the morning’s record, doing a mile and a quarter in 2min 13seo. Gold Orest trotted round and then dashed over 8 furlongs in under 38sec. Bangipapa covered six fulrongs in Imin 19sec, which time was equalled by Aborigine. Tumut and Bcntade covered half a mile, in 49 3-sseo. Gold Bealer defeated Applegarth over half a mile in oOsec. Husbandman was beaten badly by Boarrasque aver ten furlongs in 3min 15seo. Glenculloch ran a way' from Moloch over the last stages of a mile. All Red easily held his owu with Swimming Belt over ten turlongs.
