ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Christchurch, January 15. A man named Wm. Banks, a cook at a grass seed camp at Puaha, Little River, died suddenly yesterday morning. He had undergone an operation ten months previously for appendicitis. A post mortem showed that there had been a stoppage in the region that had been affected causing death. Reef ton, January 15. An elderly man named O. J. Anderson suddenly died at Blackwater to-day. He had £IBO in his possession and when dying, turned to his mate and told him he could have all the money, as he had no relatives. No further particulars are available.
