Per Press Association. Timaru, January 14. At the Magistrate’s Court to-day John Hilean, with some hundreds of previous convictions for drunkenness, was fined £5 on each of two charges of being on licensed'premises and having liquor in his possession while prohibited. Wellington, January 14,

Henry Henrickson and Mary Tanner’’were brought up [at the Magistrate’s Court to-day on further charges of breaking into a dwelling and’stealing goods therefrom. Henry Henriofcson pleaded gnilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. The woman denied the charge, and was committed for trial.
