DISHONEST POSTAL OFFICIAL,

Per Press Association. Auckland, January 13,

At Coromandel Police Court, Charles S. Legge. letter carrier and counter hand at the local Post Office, was charged with stealing two sums, amounting to £49 0s 9d, the property of Government. Legge on December 22nd repotted to the police that the post office had been robbed and cash stolen from the safe. On December 24th he was arrested and two days later confessed he nad taken the mono? himself. He showed where it was planted. The police recovered £35 and the deficit was made good. Accused pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Bail was allowed.
