PRIMITIVE METHODISM.
i*ress Association, Auckland, January 11. The Primitive Methodist Conference was continued to-day. Sunday school and bible olass'work was discussed at length, and a New Zealand Primitive Methodist Bible Class Union was formed, with Mr H. Holland as president, Rev. E. Drake as vice-pr esident, aiid-Mr A. Varney as secretary and treasurer,. These officers, with Revs J. Guy and P. J. Oossam and Mr J. Upton, were appointed to act as an executive committee. Headquarters were fixed at Wanganui, and Rev. J. Dawson was elected Sunday School and Bible Class agent. Tbe building committee’s report showed the number of churches to be 77, and residences 42. The r total cost was £66,601 18s 9d, and 'the* present value £69,922 10s 8d . while the number of bearers was 10,298. The English Conference delegates. Rev. J. Cocker and Mr H. Holland, gave interesting addresses referring l to their impressions of the, recent conference.
A mass of general business was transacted.
