THE MINERS STRIKE.

Per Press Association. Reef ton, January 11. The press were not admitted to the miners’ meeting on Saturday but the resolutions passed are given out as follow :—l. That the Federation be empowered to arrange a settlement on the terms outlined in the Premier’s telegram. 2. In view of the abandonment of ibedical examination as far as miners are concerned the difficulty is at, an end. 3. That the meeting cordially appreciates the action of the Premier and assures him that his confidence in the honour of the miners will not be misplaced.
