Following is a comparative statement of the revenue of the Dominion for the December quarters of 1908 and 1907: —Customs (1908) £707,665, (1907) £739,767; stamps (including post awd telegraph cash receipts) £398,868. £390,811 ; land and®inoome tax £561,124, £498,344; beer duty £84,871, £38,221 ; railways £774,962, £694,442 ; and other fees £24,581; £20,161; marine £11,174, £10,199; miscellaneous £49,641, £41,268; territorial £35,557, £59,586; totals £2,591,388, £2,477,798; net increase £113,590. The following is a comparative statement of the revnue of the Dominion for the calendar years 1908 and 1907 :—Customs (1908) £2,941,529, (1907) £3,068,445; stamps (including post and telegraph cash receipts), £1,604,534, £1,493,332; land and income tax £911,774, £796,113; beer duty £119,315, £111,975; railways £3,933,516, £2,740,191; registration and other fees £125,196, £118,088; marine £44,893, £41,049; miscellaneous £242,463, £234,765; territorial £275,154, £277,163; totals £9,169,873, £8,880,116; net inoease £389,767.
