United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. London, January 8. Commenting on Sir J. G. Ward’s difficulty in Cabinet-making., in spite of his majority. London papers think that if the majority can be maintained, the Liberal prospects remain bright. A conciliatory policy and the pursuance of Sir Joseph Ward’s advice in favour of a period of repose after the somewhat feverish legislative activity during the last few years, may result in his having a working majority for years to come.
