HAWKE’S BAY v. OTAGO. Press Association. Napier, January 6. The Otago Hawke’s Bay cricket match was resumed in glorious weather, with a fine cool breeze in striking contrast to yesterday’s oppressive heat. Pulton and O’Brien made a useful stand, and raised the Hawke’s Bay total from 103 to 144 before O’RBrien was caught by Burt. Ashcroft, the last man, was caught in the slips without further score and the innings closed for 144. Fulton, was not out, 46. With a lead of 196 on the first innings, Otago went in again to bat till the lunch adjournment. Hopkings and Beal opened, but the latter was clean bowled by Fenton with the total at 15.
