Tom Mann drove Dr. Harris round hy another route to the Proprietary mine, where the doctor’s services were reuired hy an injured man. To-day the rails approaching the Proprietary mine were out through, the police, by a ruse, being drawn away from the spot. MORE POLICE SENT. Received January 6, 9.40 a.m. Sydney, January 6. Sixty two additional police, including 19 mounted men, started for the Barrier Mines last night. Business at Broken Hill Is paralysed. The trouble has also had a serious effect on the trade of Port Pirie. The Proprietary Mine line was cut yesterday to prevent a provision train reaching the mine. Eleven officials were injured on Monday*’s affray. Mr Worsley, chief surveyor, 1 ? is the only [serious case. He is still unconscious. “ The Miners’ Association has notified its willingness to provide a delegate to confer with a representative of the mineowners and the President of the Arbitration Court, with a ■View to a settlement.
