CRICKET.
Press Association. Napier, January 5. The cricket match, Otago v. Hawae’s Bay, began to-day on a splendid wicket and in beautiful weather. Ocago ,5 made 340, the captain (Wilson )' playing a fine innings for 188. Hawke’s Bay have eight wickets down for 95 and a one innings defeat seems imminent. The Nomads team which is going to Auckland via Main Tank next Thursday is a follows H. F. Arkwright, E. W. Broad, W. OAOargill, J. Hindmarsh, J. Chapman, A. Howard, J. M. Hussey, Hugh Lusk, Harold Lusk, G. L. Marshall, K. L. Fullerton-Smith, P, F. Turner. The matches to be played are January 9th, H.M.S. Powerful or H.M.O.S. Iris; 11th, Auckland University; 13th, North Shore; 13th, Eden; 14th, City.
