Bremer’s celebrated mare “ Bess. ” QUALITY PRINCE is eight years old, stands 18 hands, and is a beautiful dark dapple bay, with black points, good fhoofs, flat bone, good quality hair, and splendid action: is of remarkably good symmetry and temper. BESS, who was sired by that celebrated Clydesdale stallion Thane of '•Clyde (imported from Scotland by the late H. McLean, of Invercargill), is the flam of most of Mr A. Bremer’s valuable stud of draught horses, and her progeny have been very successful at Taranaki, Hawera, Wanganui, and Palmerston North Shows. Bess has taken First and Champ’on at Hawera, and always took Prizes when shown. • Two yearling colts (Commonwealth and Federation) descended from Bess, took First and Second Prizes at Napier Show, 1902.
