An inquest on the body of Thomas Hargetts was held at the morgue“this afternoon by Mr H. W. Bishop, District Coroner. After hearing the evidence of Mrs Hargetts and Sergt. Keep, the coroner recorded a verdict that deceased committed suicide,',but there was no evidence to show his state of mind at the time. Auckland, January 4,
Henry Harding, aged 35, an able seaman on the schooner Saxon, fell overboard from that vessel this afternoon and was drowned. Napier, January 4. An inquest was held to-day on the death of Wooster, who shot himself in the Caledonian Hotel on Sunday morning. Mr O. W. Brabant, S.M., who acted as coroner, returned a verdict to the effect that the deceased had died from a wound selfinflicted. Christchurch, January o. FGeorge Frederick Betheridge, aged 60 vears, bricklayer, died sudenly from heart disease this morning at Svdenham.
