Per Press Association. Auckland, June 20. Two elderly men, John McKenrm and Thos Anderson, were caught by a constable early this morumg the act of leaving a tmtcner s shop, carrying meat in kits. They we charged with breaking and entering and theft at the Police Court and remanded on substantial bail. Hastings, June 20. ■■■ William Matthews, describing himself as a chemist, aged -3L pleaded guilty to making faise de.olarations to the registrar of mart riages as his first wife was still living. He was remanded to tlie Supreme Court for . sentence. Prisoner who admitted committing bigamy said that he was drunk at the time.
