NO-LICENSE CONVENTION.
Press Association. Wellington, June 18. This morning the session of the No-License ; Contention was continued. Mr Jas. D. Adams moved that Parliament be approached with a view to abolish bottle licenses. Carried. Mr G. B. Nicholla moved and ■ l M was carried, That Parliament IJfcjig asked by the New Zealand Allianrcl'M to grant no new brewery licenses cr* permit depots within or on no license district borders, also that all depot permits in such positions he withdrawn. Congratulatory reskmtions were parsed to the United Kingdom Alliance and the Anti-Saloon President cf America. 1% was also resolved to frame a set of questions to be put to Parliamentary candidates to ascertain their views m. the no-license question; «: ' Governmenj: is to be- urged to amend. laws in orubr that, tbe.#fbly should close three . weete?s^efor# the issue of a writ, Governraentiare also to be requested not to trade!in alcoholic, beverages through, its v|ticulturist a®d tourist departments or otherwise "and alltourist hotel license to be cancelled.
