PRESENTATION TO MR L. HILL.

On Saturday night a meeting of footballers and supporters met in the Argyle Hall, Huuterville. The chair being taken by Mr Meldrum about 10 p.m. After the usual loyal toasts, the Chairman gave tbs toast of the evening—Mr L. G. Hill. Ho called attention of. those present to what football in Huuterville had been three years ago and what it is now, a result largely attributable to the guest of the evening. The Chairman said he was sure wherever “Leslie” took his abode he would still exhibit the firmness, coolness and dash that he had so often shown in tins district on the football field, and he hoped the presentation would help to remind him of his many friends in Huntervilie. The Chairman then presented Mr Hill with a watch and chain ana a dressing case. Mr Hill suitably responded. Mr Milne replied to the toast of the Huutervillla Football Club. Songs and other items were given by Messrs Gifford, Jago, Hill. Berry, Keay, Major and others. Mr Major, who promises to be an acquisition in musical circles, kindly accompanied. A highly successful send off terminated just* before midnight.
