THE MOKOIA.
A MAN OVERBOARD. United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Sydney, Juuj 14. The Mokoia’s lengthy passage was due to heavy westerly weather. On the second day a most sensational incident occurred. A steerage passenger named Conway was seen to go overboard, and a boat was immediately lowered. The vessel hove to for three hours while search was made. The man was eventually found, but on reaching the vessel life was found to be extinct. The body was buried next morning.
