Press Association. New Plymouth, June 18. Before Mr H. S. Fitzherbert, S.M., this morning Gottlieb Roeh pleaded guilty to a breach of the Printers’ and Newspapers’ Registration Act, 1868, in dispersing two copies of a paper whioh did not bear the printer’s imprint and was fined £lO. John Mynott pleaded not guilty, to a similar charge. After hearing evidence the Magistrate reserved judgment. The oases out of the recent Mayoral election contest. The paper in question was a copy of a letter signed Water Dog,” which appeared in the Auckland Free Press, reflecting on one of the candidates for the Mayoralty.
