At the Horticultural Society’s Show, the New Zealand Government exhibited 100 varieties of apples and pears, which gained the Society’s gold medal. Blakeway (Christchurch) secured for apples. Clarke Bros. (Whangarei) received a medal for preserved fruits, as also did J. Anderson (Adelaide) for apples, and the West Australian Government for grapes. H. O. Williamson gained a bronze modal.
