THE TRIANGULAR CONTEST
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. London, June 19. Major Wynyard, on behalf of the South Africau Association, has written to the counties in view of the county committee meeting on July 3rd. He states that South Africa, regarding the contest from au Imperial point of view, had been willing to make some sacrifice, and it was regrettable that the Autsraliau Board had not viewed it in the same light, as the scheme was experimental, and on a modest calculation the result would rueau a profit to the countries concerned. He trusts that the counties will not ask the South Africans to postpone their visit until the requirements of the Australians are satisfied. Received June 13, 8.52 a.m. Loudon, June 12.
In the match Worcestershire v. Oxford, Simpson Hayward scored 105, aud took 6 wickets for 13. RANJITSINHJI MAKES A SCORE. In the match Sussex y. Middlesex, Hanjitsinhji played a faultless unfinished innings of 153.
