ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Per Press Association. Auckland, June 11. Robert Alexander Gunn, a miner, over 70 years of age, was killed in his mine at Tokatea (near Coromandel) early this morning. Gunn had evidently put in a charge of dynamite, which had either exploded when he was tapping or the charge had missed fire, and on going to see the cause the charge had gone off and killed him. His bead was almost blown off. Invercargill, June 12. Leo Patrick Eenny, a shunter recently transferred from Auckland, fell between moving trucks, sustaining shocking injuries. Both legs and an arm had to be and his skull was also fractured. He died this morning without regaining consciousness. He leaves a widow, but no family. Dunedin, June 12. At the inquest on Thomas Brown, found banging from a tree in the bush, at Oaversham, the verdict was suicide while temporarily insame.
