The Westminster Gazette calls attention to the significance of the Board of Trade returns for the oversea trade 1900 to 1907, whicli take 1900 as a standard year and give the following increase in the percentages for 1907, on the basis of 1900 price; —lmports increased 15 per cent, in volume, and 28 per cent in values; exports 43 per cent, 'in volume and 46 per cent, in value ; re-exports 25 per cent in volume, and 44 per cent, in value.
