THE KING'S VISIT TO RUSSIA.

This was the first visit of any •English sovereign to Russia. Only school teachers and school children at Reval and a few officials were allowed on the platform at the pier to witness the Czar’s first appearance there for three and a half
years. The Czar and Czarina were deeply .affected by the public welcome.
The Ozarewitch and Czar were t, board the Standard, and the Dowager Empress was on the Polar Star, which awaited the Victoria and .Albert, where a meeting took place. Luncheon and dinner were served tm the Russian yacht, but no speeches were made. The yachts, cruisers and torpedoers were illuminated at night. The Matin states that the Kaiser has intimated a desire to meet the ■Czar during his coming cruise in •Swedish waters, since the latter intends to cruise in the Gulf of Finland. Received June 11, 9.7 a.m. King Edward received a deputation -of-British residents at Reval.
