ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Press Association. Dunedin, June 8. The body of a man named Richard Craig, widower, aged 53, was found on Ocean Beach this afternoon, kaving apparently been washed ashore and left by the receding tide. The body was fully dressed with the exception of the coat and hat, which were found on the rocks adjacent. It is supposed to be a c. jfce of suicide, as the decesaed left a letter for a fellow lodger, stating that by the time the latter received the communication the deceased would be far away. , Gisborne, June 8. Galway, engineer of the Matataua, has recovered consciousness and says that he was descending into the bunker to see to the trimming of coal when the rope he had hold of broke. The patient is improving.
