Mr Dixon, who completed his term of imprisonment on Saturday for refusing to obey an order of the Court to pay a carpenter back pay on an Arbitration award, was met by a large crowd of sympathisers on his arrival at Drury, and enthusastically cheered, while the hand played “See The Conquering Hero Comes.” In the evening he was entertained at a welcome social at which a resolution was carried recognising Mr Dixon’s noble sacrifice in the cause of freedom aud fighting the battle of the employers of the Dominion. A letter was read in which a Wanganui residentoOffered to contribute £2OO to assist Dixon in fighting any further action that may ho taken against him.
