INSPECTION 0F ESTATES

Per Press Association. Masterton, May 21

Messrs Barron and Reese, representing the Laud Purchase Board, returned to Masterton yesterday after an inspection, of the lea estate. It is understood that notice was served on the trustees of Government’s intentions to purchase the property for closer settlement, but in the meantime the trustees are having it surveyed into five sections for sab-division among the [family of. the late owners. The visitors were accompanied [by John Fraser, Government Laud Valuer. A trip was made to the Kohiwai property of the late Mr Edwin Meredith. To-day the Commissioners go to Rowlands and on Saturday will inspect Westmere, portion of Brancepeth and some property of Mr W. 0. Buchanan.
