STOCK REPORT. $ Messrs Dalgety & Company, Ltd., Palmerston N., reportAt our Feilding sale on the 15th lust., we had a very good yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle. There was a fair demand for all classes of sheep, especially any lines in forward condition, and we quitted nearly the whole of our entry at prices satisfactory to our vendors. Aged ewes in lamb 4s Bd, backward empty ewes 4s, small lambs 4s 9d, medium lambs os 2d, forward lambs 7s 3d, forward ewes 8s sd, fat and forward ewes 10s lid to 12s and up to extra good 12s Bd, cull 2 tooth wethers 9s Id, 2 and 4 tooth wethers 12s Id, fat wethers 15s Id, empty cows 30s. Messrs A. H. Atkinson & Co,, report on their weekly Feiiding sale as follows -.—There was a small yarding of pigs, big sorts sold up to late rates. A small entry of poultry came to hand and showed an advance on last week’s prices. A fair amount of produce was disposed oL*. Quotations —Pigs : stores 20s to efts, small sorts 3s 9d to 7s, empty sow £1 14s; poultry: roosters Is to Is 7d, hens lid to Is Bd, ducks Is 9d to Is lOd, turkeys ss, all at each; produce: potatoes 9s 9d to 10s per sack, pumpkins 7s 6d per sack, onions 2s to 2s 6d per bag, parsnips 3s 6d per sack, swedes 3s per sack. LONDON WOOL SALES.
Messrs Abraham & "Williams, Ltd., have received the following cable from London under yesterday’s date :—The market is strong for all grades of crossbred wool and prices higher by 7% to 10 per cent. There is a strong” demand for superior Merino but prices are unchanged. Inferior Merino is weak and has declined 7% to 10 per cent.
