The Natal Witness has been mulcted in £SOO damages for libelling Carter, Minister of Justice, by publishing Mr Jellicoe’s letters, alleging that Mr- Carter suppressed a telegram in the hope of preventing Mr Jellicoe’s admission to the Natal Bar, and thereby eluding him from acting for Dinizulu.
