Something new in the preference clause is to be included in the award in the hairdressers dispute now before th'v’Arbitratiou Court, by agreement between the parties. It provides that any permanent employee who, through excessive use of alcohol shall appear at work not “in a condition to perform the same, may be suspended by his employer for one week without payment for any portion of it, as the employer may deem fit. Any person so disqualified is further ineligible for accepting work elsewhere during the period of suspension.
