Mr Meakin, solicitor, is suing Mr T. Caradoo Kerry for £II,OOO for alleged false representations respecting the guano islands in the Sonth Pacific.
Meakin gave Kerry £OOOO in cash, and alleges that he expended £SOOO in promoting the company on the representation that the guano deposit was valuable. Afterwards it was shown to be so valueless that the subscriptions were returned to the shareholders.
