Marton borough COUNCIL, SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE. Notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Marton Borough Council, held on Wednesday, 22nd day of April, it was resolved that — “ In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by ‘The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900,’ and ‘ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901/ the Marton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows : “ That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £IOOO authorised to be raised by the Marton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of paying off the former loan of £IOOO for Gas extension, the said Marton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a Special Rate of |tbs of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of ail rateable property of the Borough of Marton, which said Borough is bounded as follows : Towards the north by the southern boundary lines of Section 80, Block XIV., and Section 38, Block XV., Wangaehu Survey District, towards the east by the west bank of the Tutaenui Stream; towards the south by a public road running from the said Tutaenui Stream towards the west, and being the southern boundary of Sections numbers 13 and 28, Block 11, Rangitoto Survey District; thence towards the west by a public road running at right angles to the aforesaid road to the southern boundary line of aforesaid section number 80, and that such Special Rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of June and the first day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 11 years or until the loan is fully paid off. And notice is hereby given that the said resolution will be submitted to a Special Meeting of the Council to be held at the Borough Council Office, situated in High Street, Marton, on 20th day of May, 1908, at 8 p.m,, for confirmation as a Special Order.

Payment for Interest out of General | FoodNOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed at a Special Meeting of the Marton Borough Council held in the Council Chambers, High Street. Marton, on Wednesday, 22id Aprils 1908, at 8 p,m.: That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 5 of “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1902,” the Marton Borough Council hereby authorises and directs that the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £IOOO authorised to be raised on the 26th March, 1908, for the Gasworks extensions shall be paid out of General Fund Account of the Borough of Marton in lieu of collecting the Special Rate of |ths of a penny in the pound sterling, to take effect from Ist June, 1908. And notice is hereby given that the said resolution will be submitted to a Special Meeting of the said Council to be held at the Borough Council Office, situated in High Street, Marton, on WEDNESDAY, 20th of May, 1908, at 8 p.m„ for confirmation as a Special Order.
