GREATFORD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) A very enjoyable plain and fancy dress ball was held at the residence of Mr W. Lewis, sen., on SOthjjApril. The room was beautifully decorated for the occasion by Messrs Kitney and Lewis. As the evening was cool and the floor in excellent order dancing was kept up till 3 a.xn. A few of the fancy dresses were;—Mrs Norman Lewis “Blue Beil,” Mrs H. Goile “Red Riding Hood,” Mrs A. Ashby “Roses,” Mrs !Gomez “Night,” Miss Gomez “Friendship,” Mrs Adams “Chrysanthemum,” Miss F. Goile “Red, White and Blue,” Miss Ivy Kitney “Housemaid,” Miss Beckly “Summer,” Mrs W. Moss “Forget-me-Not,” Mrs W. Ashby “Pansy,” Mrs
H. Jones “Milkmaid,” Miss 'H. Jones “School Girl,” Mr N. Lewis “Jockey,” Mr H. Goiie |“Grandfather, ” Mr A. Stantiall “Lame Larry,” Mr A. Ashby “Nigger,” Mr W. Ashby ’“Doctor,” Mr W. Lewis, sen. “Stacker,” Mr Adams “Footballer,” Mr W. A. Neal “Cricketer, ” Mr A. Kitney “Gentleman,” Master J. Goiie “Boy Blue,” Mr T. Lewis “Engine Driver.” Music was supplied by Mr O. Stewart and Mrs Adams and Miss Gomez piano. Extras were played by Misses Goiie (2), Lewis and Asbby. Supper passed delightfully and a lovely gold bangle was presented to Miss Lewis for the part she took in the ball. Songs were sung by Misses Goiie (2), Adams, Lewis (4), Kitney, |Stewart and Asbby. Everyone appeared to enjoy themselves and ended the • delightful evening by singing “Auld Lang Syne.” _______
