COURSING.
Per Press Association. Palmerston N., May 5
There was beautiful weather for the first day of the Palmerston Coursing Club’s meeting at Terrace End. There was a fair attendance and good sport. Twenty-three courses were ron, and there was nowhere near such a big percentage of kills as at the initial meeting last year. The hares were a”good strong lot. To-morrow the finals for the Maiden Stake and sweepstake will be run, both of which are expected to provide exciting goes.
