A heavy gale on the West Coast o t this Island is seriously interfering with shipping. The Rotoiti’s departure from Onehuuga for the South has been postponed till to-morrow morning, owing to the gale, A comparatively long spell of genial weather gave place to-day in Palmerston to warm rains; feed is fairly good throughout the district and prospects for the winter favourable.
