STOCK REPORT
Messrs Abraham & Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as follows: —A fair entry of bullocks with the exception of a few pens of lightjfplain steers. The quality was very prime. Bidding was brisk. Beef made 235, best bullock £9 7s 6d to £9 le, £9 to £9 555, plight £8 12s 6d to £7 2a 6d. A good yarding of sheep of prime quality sold at late rates. Extra prime heavy ewes 17s, others 16s 6d to 15s 9d, light 14s Id, lambs 11s 6d to 81s Id, light 11s.
Messrs Abraham & Williams,“Ltd., report on their Marton sale, held Tuesday, May sth: We had a full yarding of both sheep and cattle. There was a slight improvement in sheep. We quote :—Sheep: 2 and 4tooth ewes in lamb (small) 10s to 13s 3d, 4, 6 and f.m. ewes in lamb 5s sd, s.m. ewes in lamb (good) 10s lid; a nice lot of f.m. Lincoln ewes in lamb, on account of Mr Win. Morrison, Fern Flats, made 17s; empty ewes 2s 6d to 5s Id, fat and forward ewes 7s to 10s Bd, fat ewes 12s 5d to J2s Bd, mixed lambs from 5s 3d to 10s 3d, 2-tooth wethers 11s 3d to 14s. Cattle ; 18 months steers £2 3s to £2 11s, yearling steers 28s, 2 year steers £2 18s, springing cows £3 to £6, weaners 10s 6d.
