Per Press Association Christchurch, May 4. A man named John 59 years of age, living in Du ’ham cut„ his throat this moi oirg and is in a precarious co ditiun. Mi lv, e is a tanner, but had neon out of work for some time, lie lost a son so.ue years ago and has been despondent since. This morning he V.d got ready to go out with his wi"o and wont into the back yard. His wife followed shortly after and found Milne lying on tho ground with his throat 'cut. He was sent to the ho pital with all speed.
