The bomb outrage at Mauzaffarpur occurred opposite the residence of Mr Kiugsford, District Judge, who was recently acting as Magistrate at Calcutta.
Mr Kmgsford’s life was frequently threatened in connection with the late riot trials and whipping sentences which he had imposed. It is suspected that the bomb was intended for him. Mrs Kennedy is tire wife of a barrister. Calcutta, May 3. In connection with the outrage at Muzaffarpur, a bomb factory has been discovered at Calcutta. Twenty Bengalese have been arrested, including home students and journalists. Received May 4, 9.19 a.m. Calcutta, May 3. Mrs Kennedy is dead. |"A Bengal youth arrested at Mazufferpore, confessed that he and another youth committed the crime. He thought that Mrs Kennedy’s carriage belonged to Mr Kingsford, the District Judge.
