BRITAIN AND THE COLONIES.

Speaking at the Lord Mayor’s Easter banquet, at the Mansion House, Mr |JCcghlan, Agent-General for New South Wales, said that one entente was very much neglected by Britain, namely the establishment of a close friendship between England and her colonies. England felt so sure of the goodwill of the colonies that she thought nothing of them. He was glad to see signs of a decided change of feeling towards the colonies.
