WELLINGTON AUTUMN MEETING. FIRST DAY. Pros? Associatiou. Wellington, April 29. ' The following resulis'jwerejreceived after we went to press yesterday ; Thompson Handicap, one mile; Snnbomiet and Sea King, dead heat, 1, Aboriginal 8. All started but Gross Battery. A great race to the straight, several being together, but once in the straight Snnbonnet and Sea King fought out a desperate finish the judge being unable to separate them. Aboriginal was a length and a half away. Time, Imin 43 4-Ssec.
Blanket Nursery, 5 furlongs; Flitaway 1, Artillery 3, Roosevelt 3. Only starters. Won all the wav by half a length. Time, Imin 4 8-ssec. North Island Challenge Stakes, seven furlongs: Diabolo 1, Glsnculloch 2, Carissima 3. Also ran; Formative and Husbandman. Diabolo was first into the straight and galloping strongly won easily by four lengths. Time, Imin 83sec.
Railway Handicap, six furlongs: Motoa 1, Truganini 3, Cross Battery 3. All started but Sea King. A good race; won by a head. Time, Imin 17 l-ssec.
Tinakori Hack Handicap, (i furlongs: .Sir Frisco 1, Penates 2, Yosami 8. Also ran: Mon Ami, Blue Belle and Blue Ribbon. Won easily by two lengths. Time, Imin 1 8sec.

Hastings, April 30. Interesting work was done on the course this morning, the plough being very fast and good times were recorded. Ikon covering a mile in 1.44 good for Grand Slam. Aucyle ran half a mile aloue, but was not time making. Pushful and Prize Bloom galloped once round, the former having the best at the finish. Niwaru and Esperato'jfiaished in that order after a sherd" sprint. Rob ; n Link was slightly in advance of Bereugaria - after (ive furlongs gallop, the last half mile in 53sec. San Jose and Waipu were together at the end of once round in 1.47. Bobrikofl was too good for Tarina over half a mile in SOsecs. Seaton Dale, Mary Tiger and Sir Benson finished in the order named at the end of six furlongs. Erl King boat Lamsdorff over six frulougs in 1.18. Oarrow got off before Aborigine In a five furlongs gallop, but the latter had the best at the finish in 1.5. Oh.autsusc and Ahei finished r. 1 :r
at the end of a short flutter. King Billy ran a mile alone in 1.45, once round taking 1.41 Full Cry, Black Reynard and Bushranger were given once round over the sticks. Black Reynard pleasing most. Matapuna, Maku and Commuciare were •schooled, the latter’s display being best. The Clipper could not ask Rawhiti to gallop once round over the hurdles.
