At the half-yearly meeting of the Colonial Sugar Company, the net profits were stated to be £134,779, a dividend of 10 per cent, was recommended, leaving £35,634 to carry forward. The "report stated ;i .that farmers in Australia and New Zealand were beginning to realise the value of molasses for feeding stock, and the Company had gone to a good deal of expense to meet demands in this direction.
