Received April 30, 10.10 a.m. Sydney, April3o. The Labour Congress decided that
it is desirable that the Government should control all industrial legislation.
The Congress also carried an emphatic protest against Government spending £50,000 in entertaining the American fleet. The mover said that the navy
was in existence for a destructive purpose and was only constituted for murder.
