SPEECH BY THE GOVERNOR. Press Association —Copyright. Received April 28, 9.30 p.m. Durban, April 28. At the conclusion of his tour of Zululaud, Sir M. Nathan, Governor of Natal, speaking at Verulam, said the Government’s proposals refuted the most wrongful charge that Natal was careless of native interests. The Government wished to govern in the interests of both natives and whites, only white supremacy must be maintained.
