FOOTBALL.

THE TEST MATCHES. Per Press Association. Dunedin, April 27. At a meeting of the Otago Rugby Football Union to-night the question of playing three test matches against the English team was discussed. Mr Isaacs, of the New Zealand Union, said the Management Committee of the governing body was still open to receive suggestions as to the itinerary that would give as little trouble as possible to the visitors. If three test matches were played the New Zealand players would require seven weeks’ leave, unless all the tests were played in one place. Players would have to assemble at least ten days before the first test match. If the Otago de,legates to the New Zealand Union could map out a satisfactory itinerary the Management Committee of the New Zealand Union would yet make arrangements for three tests.
