OBITUARY.
MRS A. E. REMINGTON
Per Association. Masterton, April 24. The death occurred at the resid ence of her daughter (Mrs A. Levin) Masterton, this afternoon, of Mrs Kate Remington, wife of Mr A. E Remington, M.P. for Rangitikei. Mrs Remington had been on a visit to her daughter, who is seriously ill, while Mr Remington was visiting his constitutents in the hack blocks of Rangitikei. Mrs Remington was taken ill, and rapid erysipelas set in, and death resulted at 4.30 o’clock this afternoon. Mrs Remington’s illness was totally unexpected.' Mr Remington received a telegram at Taihapo on Thursday intimating Mrs Remington’s sudden and serious illness, and he hastened to Masterton as soon as possible arriving here by the Napier mail train at 3.30 o’clock this afteroon.
Deceased was a native of Sussex, England, and was 57 years of age. Two daughters—Mrs A. Lewin, of Masterton, and Mrs F. G. Remingon, of Wellington, and one son Mr Harry Edwards, of New Plymouth, besides Mr Remington are left to mourn their loss.
