SECOND EDITION.

Three candidates have been, nominated for the Mayoralty of* Palmerston North, Richard Essex, the present Mayor; Henry Haydon and J. A. Nash, both of whom are members of the present Council. The Hon. T. W. Hislop, ; the present Mayor, and Mr J. G. W. Aitken, M. P., an ex-Mayor, are the only candidates for the City of Wellington Mayoralty. Inglewood : Mr H. B. Curtis reelected unopposed. Eltham: Nominations, S. S. Stamers Taylor, present Mayor, and G. W. Taylor. New Plymouth; There are three candidates for the Mayoralty, W, A. Collis, Gustave Tiscb, and Fred Bellringer. A keen contest is likely.

Richmond :-Mr She ats re-elected unopposed. Napier: Mr J. Vigor Brown has been re-elected Mayor. Gisborne: Mr W. D. Lysnar and Dr. Williams have been nominated for the Mayoralty.

Nelson nominations: Mr Jesse Piper, sitting Mayor, and Councillor Hampson.

Blenheim : "Mayoralty candidates, A. McCallum (present mayor), and E. H. Penny.
