Per Press Association. Wanganui, April 18. ■Uneven persons were on Thursday at Raetihi fined £2 each and costs lor selling overprpof hop ;beer. Tho evidence showed a big trade amongst co-operative labourers on the Main irunfc Railway in this drink, and the Government analyst pronounced some samples double the”strength of ordinary beer. F. Brinson for sly grog-selhng near the Main Trunk was also fined £SO in default three mouths on one information, and on a second information three months without; the option of a fine.
