STOCK SALES. The NowfZealand Loan & Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: At Baugiwahia on the Sth inst.. there was a good yarding of sheep, mostly wethers. Competition at auc t lo “ was fairly brisk, with the result that nearly the whole of the of sheep was sold at market rates. Wothers sold well ’at up to 12s lid. Very few cattle came forward, and the demand was not a keen one. Quotations Sheep : Two-tooth ewes 10s to 12s, 2-tooth wethers lbs, 10s 3d 10s 7d. 11s 3d, 11s 6d, 11s lOd, 12s 123 2d. and 13s 7(1, mixed iambs 4s 3d to os Bc?., 3-tooth ewes los Id. Cottle: La;!" cows £3 Is, forward heifers £3 ss. empty heifers 30s. At Feilding on Friday we had a heavy yarding of sheep and a good entry or cattle. Lambs sold well but low. conditioned ewes were- hard to quit. Cattle met .with a medium inquiry. Quotations : Sheep : Cull lambs 2s to 39 Id, forward lambs 7s to 8s 3d, wether lambs 7s, Lincoln woolly ewe lambs 10s 6d, Lincoln shorn ewe lambs 10s (id. English Leicester ewe lambs t/s, Romney cross ewe lambs 8s 3d fat ewes 11s 8d to 13s, forward wethers 13s 9d, two-tcoth ewes small 10s <‘>d, rams Ss to 225, weaaers 4s.
