The Chinese war junk,;Whang Ho, which has been on exhibition on the Pacific Coast of America, was dispatched from r San Francisco for New York, via Papeete. On sailing the Captain relinquished command to chief officer, Griudley. The vessel was practically unballasted and the wind and sea took charge of ehr and carried her far out of the course, aud she finally , arrived off Papeete ou March 22nd, and was towed into port. The crew were in a mutinous state. Salvage had to be paid for the tow into port. When the Manapouri left the jnnk was waiting for orders.
