FRUIT REGULATIONS.

Per Press Association. Auckland, April 11. The regulations gazetted on February 27tb, for the importation of fruit to New Zealand, are pronounced unworkable. Cook Island Federal Council at Rarotonga has decided to urge the New Zealand Government to appoint their own office Fruit Inspector in Cook Island, with power to Issue a certificate that will he accepted by the Dominion, his salary to be paid by Cook Island, and the Inspector to ha under the control' of the New Zealand Government.
